To reduce Fresno Unified School District utility expenditures by implementing an energy management program that eliminates energy waste, reduces consumption, improves energy awareness and provides and maintains a comfortable and safe learning environment.
Performance Goal and Program Objectives
Performance Goal - This year's cost avoidance goal is $2,800,000 Program Objectives - An effective Energy Management Program (EMP) should not only save the District energy and reduce utility expenditures, but must also provide a safe, comfortable, and healthy learning environment for the improvement of the education process.
What we do and how we do it
Eliminate Energy Waste-
Audit building during unoccupied times.
Monitor building usage during occupied times.
Track and analyze consumption for building efficiency. Save Dollars- Reducing consumption and demand charges.
Analyzing utility bills for errors or overcharges.
Evaluate usage trends for abnormalities caused by equipment failure.
Utilize rebate programs for energy savings devices.
Maintain Comfort & Safety in Occupied Areas.
Coordinate usage of facilities and monitor operational efficiency of equipment vs. design. Education-
Communication and education to all staff to improve awareness on the benefits and necessity to reduce energy consumption and save F.U.S.D. money to be used in other areas.
